Olympic rings make water mark ahead of 2012 Games

 Olympic rings, measuring 11 metres by 25 metres, are transported

by barge down the river Thames on Tuesday to mark 150 days

 until the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Games.

Silent film The Artist triumphs at the Oscars

It's more than 80 years since a silent movie has won an Oscar in Hollywood. The awards included best picture, best director and best actor for French star Jean Dujardin.

The 3D movie Hugo also had a big night, winning awards for its cinematography and art direction as well as three technical awards.
Other winners included Rango, which won best animation and features the voice of Johnny Depp as a chameleon.
And the Oscar for best original song went to Kermit and friends for the Muppets.
Steven Spielberg's film, War Horse was up for six awards but didn't manage to take any home.

Best Original Song - 'Man or Muppet' from The Muppets
